Google has introduced a suite of AI-powered marketing tools at the Google Marketing Live Southeast Asia event in Singapore, aiming to assist brands and marketers in navigating the complex digital landscape. These innovations are set to roll out across Search and YouTube, providing businesses with advanced capabilities to connect with consumers more effectively.
Among the key innovations is the introduction of Ads in AI Overviews, which will be available in English in the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia later this year. This feature allows businesses to appear at crucial moments when consumer interest peaks. Additionally, the YouTube Creator Partnerships Hub, now available in Singapore and Indonesia, enables marketers to discover and collaborate with YouTube creators, offering detailed insights into audience demographics and engagement.
The Asset Studio, another highlight, leverages generative AI to produce varied high-performing creative assets, enhancing marketing interactions. AI Max For Search, using Google’s Gemini models, automatically generates tailored headlines, ensuring businesses appear in relevant search moments without extensive keyword lists. Shopee’s recent campaign in Singapore and Malaysia demonstrated the tool’s efficacy, achieving a 100% increase in conversions.
Sapna Chadha, Vice President of Google Southeast Asia and South Asia Frontier, emphasised the transformative potential of these tools, stating, “We’re equipping marketers with our most advanced models yet: more intelligent, more agentic, and more personalised.”
These AI advancements are poised to redefine digital advertising, offering predictive tools that shift marketers from reactive to proactive strategies, ultimately enhancing brand discovery and growth in Southeast Asia.
