Revolut has announced a significant partnership with Ant International, allowing its global customer base to send money directly to China in Chinese Yuan via Alipay. This collaboration, unveiled on 8 July 2025, aims to streamline cross-border remittances, particularly benefiting overseas Chinese communities. Users can transfer funds instantly using the recipient’s Alipay ID, name, and address, with Revolut offering competitive pricing structures.
China remains a top global remittance destination, with $48 billion in inflows in 2024. This partnership positions Revolut to capture a substantial share of this market, especially in Singapore, where China is the leading remittance corridor. Raymond Ng, CEO for Singapore and Southeast Asia at Revolut, stated, “We are thrilled to partner with Ant International, to enable our 50 million customers globally to transfer money to China almost instantly via Alipay.”
Revolut’s pricing tiers include a 0.15% fee for Standard customers (minimum fee: $4.40 (SG$5.90)), 0.12% for Premium customers (minimum fee: $3.52 (SG$4.72)), and free transfers for Metal customers. Jacques Xu, General Manager of Global Remittance Business at Ant International, expressed gratitude for the collaboration, noting, “Through Ant International’s solutions, we are enabling more partners to easily manage and grow their remittance business whilst meeting customers’ needs on speed and security.”
This partnership complements Revolut’s existing international money transfer services, including Instant Card Transfers and transfers to mobile wallets like bKash and M-Pesa. With this new feature, Revolut continues to innovate in providing cost-effective and secure financial solutions for its users worldwide.
