Ideal Systems, a leading Asian AV and broadcast systems integrator, has announced the acquisition of Singapore-based Pro-Audio specialist Control Logic Systems (CLS). The acquisition, unveiled at the opening of Broadcast Asia 2025, aims to bolster Ideal Systems’ presence in the Southeast Asian Pro-AV market. David Seow, Managing Director at CLS, expressed enthusiasm about the merger, highlighting the synergy between CLS’s premium speaker brands and Ideal Systems’ market position.
The acquisition will see CLS staff and equipment integrated into Ideal Systems’ Singapore offices, enhancing the company’s audio demonstration capabilities. CLS brings over 30 years of experience in large-scale Pro-Audio projects, including installations at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3 and the MRT rail system. This expertise is expected to significantly boost Ideal Systems’ enterprise audio systems capabilities.
Fintan Mc Kiernan, CEO of Ideal Systems in Singapore, emphasised the strategic timing of the acquisition, stating, “The timing is great for us, as our AV business is continuing to grow, to be able to bring in such experienced audio experts like CLS is a major boost for our AV team.” Mc Kiernan also noted the successful past collaborations with CLS on projects such as The Iconic Marjorie Hotel in Penang and The Hilton Hotel in Petaling Jaya, which laid the groundwork for this acquisition.
With this acquisition, Ideal Systems aims to accelerate its growth in the Pro-AV market whilst enhancing service quality for customers across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The integration of CLS’s technical knowledge and premium audio products is expected to complement Ideal Systems’ expanding AV portfolio in the region.
