TransNusa, South East Asia’s first holistic premium service airline, is set to increase its flight frequencies on the Jakarta-Singapore route to three times daily throughout July.
This strategic move aims to accommodate the surge in travel during Indonesia’s school holiday period. The additional flight, 8B 155, will depart Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at 6:30pm, arriving at Singapore’s Changi Airport at 9:15pm. The return flight, 8B 156, will leave Singapore at 10:05pm, reaching Jakarta by 10:55pm.
The airline’s CEO, Bernard Francis, emphasised that the expansion is driven by passenger demand and travel trends. “Our expansion plans are mainly based on our passengers’ needs, demands, and travelling trends,” he stated. The current schedule includes two daily flights from Jakarta to Singapore, departing at 7:55am and 12:10pm, with return flights leaving Singapore at 11:45am and 3:30pm.
In addition to the international route expansion, TransNusa will also increase its domestic flight frequency from Jakarta to Singkawang from four to seven times weekly. The airline has recently introduced new international routes from Bali to Perth and Guangzhou, China, further strengthening its network connectivity.
TransNusa, which rebranded as a Premium Service Carrier in 2022, has rapidly grown in South East Asia. The airline’s commitment to safety and performance is underscored by its ability to secure necessary approvals for additional flights at Changi Airport, a world-class facility with stringent requirements. Looking ahead, TransNusa plans to continue expanding its network in the second half of 2025.
