ESET, a global leader in cybersecurity, has announced the appointment of Pamela Ong as Country Manager for Singapore and the Asia region. This strategic decision highlights ESET’s commitment to addressing the increasing cybersecurity demands in Singapore, a key growth hub in the region, especially following the accelerated digital transformation post-pandemic.
Ong, who has over a decade of experience at ESET, has held various leadership roles including Channel Manager for China and Sales Director for APAC. Her extensive industry knowledge and leadership skills make her well-suited to enhance ESET’s presence in Singapore. “I’m incredibly proud to take on this role,” Ong stated. “Singapore has quickly emerged as a digital innovation hub, and the demand for advanced protection has grown tremendously as businesses accelerate their digital journeys.”
In addition to her business acumen, Ong is a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in cybersecurity and STEM fields. In 2025, she launched the ESET Women in Cybersecurity Scholarship in Singapore and India, aiming to empower the next generation of female cybersecurity professionals.
Parvinder Walia, President of the Asia Pacific region at ESET, emphasised the importance of Ong’s appointment, stating, “It’s paramount that we place our best people in our most important roles, and Pamela brings unmatched experience, leadership, and vision to this position.”
Ong will be based in Singapore and will report directly to Walia, as ESET continues to expand its impact across Asia, focusing on creating a safer digital world.
