CPE Technology Berhad has reported a significant 149% increase in its profit after tax for the fourth quarter ending 30 June 2026, reaching RM7.96m. This surge is attributed to heightened demand, particularly from the semiconductor sector, which contributed to an 11% year-on-year revenue increase to RM35.95m.
The Group’s profit before tax also saw a remarkable rise of 116%, totalling RM9.74m, whilst gross profit increased by 24% to RM10.75m. The order book as of 30 June 2026 nearly doubled compared to six months prior, driven by increased orders from existing customers and a recovering market demand.
Executive Director and Group CEO Lee Chen Yeong highlighted the strengthening demand environment and the return of manufacturing capacity to mass production as key factors in the improved performance. “The stronger results both year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter provide encouraging momentum as we enter the new financial year,” he stated.
To accommodate the rising demand, CPE Technology is undertaking its largest expansion programme to date, acquiring 118 new CNC machines, with 11 already commissioned. An additional 70 machines are expected by mid-2027. Furthermore, the Group has acquired a new factory to support its growing operations.
CPE Technology also announced a joint venture with a Japanese partner to enhance its capabilities in advanced cleaning and surface treatment for semiconductor components, aiming to strengthen its position in the supply chain. This strategic move is expected to broaden the Group’s offerings and enhance its competitive edge.
