Flam, an AI interactive content company, has successfully raised US$40m (S$51m) in Series B funding, led by QED Investors. The funding round, which also saw participation from Claypond Capital, Martin Chavez, Olivier Pomel, Venky Harinarayan, and Shah Rukh Khan, aims to scale Flam’s AI-powered interactive content globally. Existing investors RTP Global and Dovetail also increased their investments.
The company has rapidly expanded, signing over 100 enterprise customers, including Google, Grab, and KFC, within six quarters. Flam’s innovative suite of products is utilised for marketing, product visualisation, learning and development, entertainment, fan engagement, customer support, and sales. A strategic partnership with Indonesia’s Elang Mahkota Teknologi (Emtek) will further extend Flam’s reach across Southeast Asia.
Flam’s founder, Shourya Agarwal, stated, “Content has moved in waves from text to images to video, and every wave flowed one way—creator to viewer. We think interactive is the next default for the internet.” Flam’s technology includes patented formats like Flicks, Forge, Airboards, and Visual Agents, which offer interactive and high-fidelity content experiences.
Nigel Morris, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at QED Investors, remarked on Flam’s potential, noting the company’s unique approach to untapped content ecosystems. Sandeep Patil, Partner at QED Investors, highlighted Flam’s exceptional growth and AI research pace as indicators of its future success.
The newly acquired capital will be directed towards research and development of Flam’s AI models, expanding its product suite, and scaling enterprise sales globally.
