Yangzijiang Maritime Development Ltd., a Singapore-listed maritime financial solutions provider, has announced the order of 11 additional newbuild vessels, expanding its total portfolio to 111 vessels, including options. The new orders consist of four bulk carriers, each approximately 82,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT), and seven Long-Range 2 tankers, each approximately 114,000 DWT, with deliveries scheduled between 2029 and 2030.
The company has secured US$808m in contracted vessel sales over the past 10 months, demonstrating its active asset monetisation strategy. This approach allows Yangzijiang Maritime to recycle capital into newbuild orders, fostering a cycle of investment and growth. The new vessels will be constructed to meet international classification standards and will include eco-notation features, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainability and operational efficiency.

The funding for these newbuilds will be sourced through a combination of equity co-investment and debt financing. This strategic expansion aims to improve earnings visibility and unlock future growth opportunities for the company.
