Vitafoods Asia, a leading nutraceutical event by Informa Markets, has announced its strategic relocation to the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur for its 2027 edition. Scheduled from 21 to 23 September 2027, this move aims to tap into Malaysia’s burgeoning market, projected to reach nearly $1b by 2030.
The event will occupy eight halls at MITEC, offering 35,000 square metres of exhibition space, enhancing opportunities for exhibitors and trade visitors. Rose Chitanuwat, Regional Portfolio Director for ASEAN at Informa Markets, highlighted Kuala Lumpur’s potential, stating, “The combination of MITEC’s world-class facilities, Malaysia’s competitive advantages, and Kuala Lumpur’s accessibility makes this the ideal location to drive the next phase of growth for our industry.”
Malaysia’s nutraceutical market, valued at $600m in 2022, is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 5.2%, driven by rising health consciousness and a shift towards preventive healthcare. The market offers unique opportunities for ingredient suppliers, particularly in halal-certified ingredients, and finished product companies, with a growing demand for immunity boosters and plant-based supplements.
The event will coincide with Food & Hospitality Malaysia 2027 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, creating cross-sector opportunities for attendees.
