Sofa Bar Livehouse, a renowned live music salon operator from Chengdu, is set to open its first Hong Kong venue at The Centrium, 60 Wyndham Street, Central, by the end of September 2026. This expansion marks the company’s debut outside Mainland China, facilitated by CBRE, which secured approximately 3,100 sq. ft. of prime retail space for the operator.
Located in one of Hong Kong’s bustling entertainment districts, the new venue promises high visibility and street frontage, attracting both local and international audiences. Known for its unique blend of live music and cultural entertainment, Sofa Bar Livehouse will feature performances by folk musicians, emerging artists, and multicultural talent, aiming to create a space for meaningful connections between performers and audiences.
The move comes as Hong Kong’s nightlife and experiential entertainment sectors are regaining momentum, with consumers seeking diverse lifestyle experiences. “Hong Kong has long been recognised as one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan cities,” Sofa Bar Livehouse stated, expressing excitement about contributing to the city’s vibrant nightlife.
Daniel Yip, Director of Retail Leasing at CBRE Hong Kong, highlighted the significance of this development, stating, “Entertainment and experiential concepts are becoming an increasingly important component of Hong Kong’s retail landscape.” The new venue is expected to enhance Central’s position as a premier nightlife destination, benefiting from the area’s strong evening footfall and upscale dining and entertainment offerings.
The introduction of Sofa Bar Livehouse is anticipated to diversify Central’s nightlife ecosystem, adding fresh energy to the district’s evening economy.
