MAS reshuffles leadership amid strategic shifts

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has unveiled a series of senior leadership changes set to take effect on 1 November 2026. Jacqueline Loh, currently Deputy Managing Director (Corporate Development), will transition to the role of Principal Adviser in the Managing Director’s office. In this capacity, Loh will support risk oversight, governance, and leadership development, whilst continuing as Chair of the Board of the Singapore Payments Network.

Loo Siew Yee, presently Assistant Managing Director (Policy, Payments & Financial Crime), will assume the position of Deputy Managing Director (Corporate Development). Her responsibilities will encompass overseeing MAS’ corporate functions, including Organisation & People Development, Technology, and Finance, Risk & Currency Groups.

Gillian Tan will succeed Loo Siew Yee as Assistant Managing Director (Policy, Payments & Financial Crime), focusing on prudential policy, anti-money laundering, enforcement, and the supervision of payment services providers. Tan will vacate her current role as Assistant Managing Director (Development & International).

Thong Leng Yeng, currently Executive Director of the Anti-Money Laundering Department, will take over as Assistant Managing Director (Development & International), overseeing the development of Singapore as an international financial centre and MAS’ international relations.

MAS Managing Director Chia Der Jiun expressed gratitude for Jacqueline Loh’s contributions, noting her leadership in various portfolios over 13 years. “Jacqueline has made significant and enduring contributions to MAS,” he stated, highlighting her role in strengthening Singapore’s position as a leading international financial centre.
