Accor, a global hospitality leader, has announced 30 new hotel signings in Asia this year, totalling 7,698 keys. This expansion spans 12 countries, reflecting the region’s evolving travel demand and Accor’s strategic focus on key markets. The midscale segment, including brands like TRIBE and Mercure, accounts for 49% of these signings.
Indonesia leads Accor’s development with 13 hotels and over 2,800 keys, whilst Vietnam follows with six hotels and 2,600 keys. The company is also introducing new lifestyle brands, such as the greet hotel in Bangkok, and plans to launch JO&JOE, a hostel experience brand, in the future.
Franchising is gaining popularity in Asia, with Accor becoming the first international hospitality group to register its brands for franchising in Vietnam. This move offers owners flexibility and access to Accor’s global platform. Conversion-friendly brands like Mercure and Mövenpick are attracting interest from owners looking to reposition assets.
Accor is also expanding its branded residences, with projects like Raffles Residences Bali and SLS Residences in Thailand. Andrew Langdon, Accor’s Chief Development Officer for Asia, stated, “2026 is shaping up to be another record year for Accor’s development in Asia, with our signings on track to deliver a fourth consecutive year of record growth in the region.”
With a diverse brand portfolio and flexible development models, Accor is poised to capture the next phase of hospitality growth in Asia, working closely with partners to meet evolving market needs.
