Allianz Malaysia Berhad has reported robust growth for the second quarter of 2026, with total business volume increasing by 7.2% to RM1.63b compared to the same period last year. The growth was primarily driven by the Motor, Bancassurance, and Employee Benefits sectors, contributing to a 9.2% rise in Gross Written Premiums, which reached RM2.08b.
The company’s CEO, Sean Wang, highlighted the significance of these results during Allianz Malaysia’s 25th anniversary year, stating, “We are pleased to mark our 25th anniversary year with results that reflect the trust our customers and partners have placed in us and the solid foundation we have built together.”
In the first half of 2026, Allianz Malaysia’s total business volume rose by 7% to RM3.26b, with Gross Written Premiums climbing 11.5% to RM4.37b. The life insurance segment, in particular, saw a 14.4% increase in operating profit, reaching RM294m, driven by investment-linked protection and Employee Benefits.
Allianz General Insurance Company, a subsidiary, reported a 5.5% increase in business volume for the first half of 2026, reaching RM1.84b. However, its operating profit slightly decreased to RM298.2m due to lower investment returns.
