Beng Kuang Marine Limited has reported a remarkable 174.6% increase in profit attributable to shareholders for the third quarter of 2026, reaching S$4.24m. This surge is attributed to improved operational performance and the company’s first full quarter of complete ownership of Asian Sealand Offshore and Marine (ASOM). The company has successfully translated its secured offshore contracts into earnings, with significant contributions from offshore lifecycle projects in West Africa and advanced shipbuilding projects in Batam.
The group’s gross profit margin also saw a recovery, rising to 38.1% in Q3 2026 from 36.0% in the same period last year and approximately 26.0% in Q2 2026. This improvement reflects stronger contributions from offshore lifecycle services and later-stage shipbuilding activities. Additionally, Beng Kuang Marine secured S$112.4m in offshore lifecycle services contracts during the first nine months of 2026, with S$59.8m of contracted work remaining as of 30 September 2026.
The full ownership of ASOM has strengthened shareholder earnings, with a greater share of profits now attributable to Beng Kuang Marine’s shareholders. The company entered the fourth quarter of 2026 with approximately S$71.2m in contracted work and order book, providing visibility into ongoing project execution.
This development marks a significant turnaround for the Singapore-listed offshore and marine services provider, highlighting its ability to capitalise on stronger offshore project execution and margin recovery. As Beng Kuang Marine continues to execute its projects, the company is poised for further growth and enhanced earnings.
