FIC Global Inc (FICG), a Taiwan-listed technology group, has officially opened its new manufacturing facility in Johor, Malaysia, marking a significant expansion of its operations in Southeast Asia. The facility, located at iPark, Senai Airport City, is part of FICG’s Johor-Singapore Twinning Strategy, which aims to integrate manufacturing and innovation across both regions.
The Johor site, operated by FICG’s subsidiary PRO3C Malaysia Sdn Bhd, began production at the end of 2025 and entered mass production in early 2026. It currently operates eight Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines, with capacity expected to increase in response to market demand. The facility supports FICG’s growth in sectors such as artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and semiconductors.
The opening ceremony was attended by Johor State Executive Councillor Lee Ting Han, alongside representatives from JTC Corporation, AME Elite Consortium, and UOB. FICG Chairman Leo Chien highlighted the strategic importance of the new site, stating, “Today we are opening more than a factory; we are switching on the Johor node of a cross-border platform that will serve our global customers from both sides of the Causeway.”
The Johor facility will focus on advanced manufacturing and mass production, whilst FICG’s planned Innovation and Supply Chain Centre in Singapore will handle global innovation and customer engagement. This integrated approach aims to enhance FICG’s competitiveness by linking manufacturing, supply chains, and innovation resources.
FICG’s expansion is expected to create over 1,000 jobs across Singapore and Malaysia, supporting local economies and strengthening the regional technology ecosystem. The development aligns with FICG’s broader strategy to leverage ASEAN’s strengths for resilient growth.
