Genie Health, a Singapore-founded AI health tech company, has successfully raised US$3m in seed funding to expand its health intelligence platform. The funding round was led by the Nadathur Family Office, with contributions from Liminal and two experienced healthcare leaders. Anand Nadathur, Principal of the Nadathur Family Office, will join Genie Health’s board of directors.
The company is developing a two-sided platform designed to help individuals better understand their health and assist healthcare providers in offering more personalised care. The funds will be used to enhance the platform’s AI capabilities, boost the adoption of Genie SmartCare among clinics, and expand the team’s expertise in Singapore.
Genie Health was co-founded by Hari V. Krishnan, Maya Hari, and Sandeep Suvarna, who bring extensive experience in scaling technology businesses. Krishnan, the former CEO of PropertyGuru Group, emphasised the importance of the funding in scaling both the Genie app and SmartCare, stating, “This funding will enable us to scale both the Genie app and SmartCare faster, whilst deepening our platform capabilities.”
The Genie app consolidates fragmented health data into a secure Health Locker, providing personalised insights and guidance. Meanwhile, Genie SmartCare uses AI to enhance patient engagement and streamline administrative tasks for healthcare providers. Maya Hari, Co-founder and Chair of Genie Health, highlighted the platform’s potential to improve patient interactions, saying, “SmartCare combines automated patient engagement with a fuller picture of each patient’s health journey.”
As Singapore faces rising chronic disease prevalence, Genie Health’s innovative approach aims to address the growing demand for preventive care and efficient patient management.
