ProsperCap Corporation Limited, listed on the Singapore Exchange, has teamed up with Roam to install 170 electric vehicle (EV) charging sockets across 14 of its UK hotels. The project, which began in September 2026, includes 158 22kW sockets and 12 50kW rapid charging sockets, aiming to cater to the growing number of guests travelling in EVs.
The initiative is part of ProsperCap’s commitment to sustainability and the UK’s net zero transition. “All the electricity across our hotels is sourced from renewable contracts,” said Weerachai Amornrat-Tana, Acting CEO of ProsperCap. This ensures that guests can charge their vehicles knowing their journeys are low-carbon.
Roam, recognised as the UK’s leading hotel EV charging network, will deliver the project through its fully funded model, allowing hotels to upgrade their infrastructure without significant upfront costs. James Randall, CEO of Roam, highlighted the importance of integrating charging facilities into the hospitality experience, stating, “Installing 170 sockets across 14 hotels gives guests access to reliable charging where they already want to spend their time.”
The project not only supports the increasing demand for destination charging but also enhances the long-term value of ProsperCap’s properties. As EV adoption grows, such infrastructure becomes essential for maintaining the appeal of upscale hotels. This collaboration marks a significant step in expanding Roam’s presence in the UK hospitality sector, aligning with the broader shift towards cleaner transportation.
