Global financial group Capital.com has announced its expansion into Singapore, marking its first foray into the Southeast Asian market. The company has secured a Capital Markets Services licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), allowing it to offer a platform for local traders and investors. This platform will provide market information, educational content, and risk-management tools, with client onboarding set to begin in early 2027.
Capital.com Singapore will be led by Tony Lim, who brings over 30 years of experience in Singapore’s capital markets. Lim, previously the CEO of IG Asia, will oversee the company’s operations from its new office at 9 Battery Road in Raffles Place. The company aims to contribute to Singapore’s financial ecosystem by building relationships with regulators, educators, and industry players.
Valentina Rzheutskaya, Executive Director at Capital.com, highlighted the significance of the MAS licence, stating, “Singapore sets a high bar for how financial services are delivered… This licence affirms how we approach new markets, in step with local regulation and with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth.”
Capital.com will participate in the Singapore FinTech Festival from 18 to 20 November, as it begins integrating into the local financial services landscape. The platform will offer decision-support tools, including market insights, analysis, and risk-management controls, to help clients make informed financial decisions. Further details on the Singapore platform will be shared ahead of its launch.
